For backpackers looking to stay between Hobart and Freycinet National Park, this lodge is conveniently situated just out of office hours. it is located right beside a fantastic food tavern, offering a great dining option. it is only a 45-minute drive to the Freycinet area, making it an ideal location for exploring the main attractions in the region.
There were cleanliness issues that affected the overall experience.

The hostel is very modern and spacious, with clean bathrooms and plenty of bench space. The location of the hostel is great, right next to a pub and a large bakery, making it convenient for getting supplies and grabbing a meal.- The host, Ken, was very friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable by providing a cricket set for us to use.
The atmosphere at the hostel was oppressive and uncomfortable. The smell in the rooms and the shared bathrooms was unbearable, with a damp and musty odor that permeated our belongings.

Great hostel for a weekend getaway! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. The bathrooms and bedrooms were well-maintained, and the hostel provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We also loved the convenience of having a kitchen to cook our meals and a lounge to relax in. a great experience!
That the Wi-Fi was a bit slow, which made it a bit difficult to stay connected. we wish they had provided more linens and towels for our stay, as we had to ask for more.

We stayed with a group of friends and loved the equipped kitchen, accommodating host, and comfortable pod beds. This hotel has a nice location next to a bakery and just off the highway.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The hostel was modern and clean with new bedding and a great layout. The kitchen facilities and communal space were good. Although the internet was slow, our overall experience was enjoyable. The manager could benefit from a holiday or a career change, but don't let that put you off. I would recommend this hostel.

Spent Xmas with friends at a cozy hostel with clean rooms and friendly staff. Appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and the free Wi-Fi. the location was also great, close to a grocery store and a few restaurants.
The hostel could use some updates, especially on the bathrooms and common areas. the heating system was also not efficient, and it got quite chilly at night.
